Pack Meeting: March 18th

◊ Assignments: Gathering/Attendance-Tigers; Opening/closing-Wolves; Flags/Prayer-Webelos; Skit/Stunt/Song-Bears
Pack Meeting: April 22nd
◊ Leaders will present a Magic Show for the kids (google simple magic tricks for ideas)

Treasurer’s Report:
◊ Pack is down to $200 in the pack checking account. We need to do a fundraiser. Mike will front $500 of his own money to
purchase candy bars for April 19th Candy Bar kick-off weekend. The pack will pay back the $500 at the close of the weekend.
Fundraisers:
◊ Candy bar fundraiser will run from April 19 to March 16. Assorted candy bar packs from Sam’s are $19.87/52 Bars. We will sale
them for $1.00 ea. Storefront sales at Wal-Mart and Price Cutter are set for April 19th. We will wash cars at Price Cutter.
◊ Pack Garage Sale will be 2-days this year • Set-up: Thurs., May 29th. Open: 6:30 AM on Fri., May 30th and Sat., May 31st.
Training:
◊ Trainer Development Conference • March 15 at 6:30 PM at the Scout Office • $15.00
◊ New Leaders’ Specifics • March 18 at 6:30 p.m. at the Scout Office
◊ New Leaders Essentials and New Leader Specific Training, back-to-back, on Sat., Mar. 29 • 8 a.m. • Scout Office
◊ Outdoor Leader Skills Training is 6 PM, March 28 thru Noon, Sunday, March 30 • Camp Arrowhead • $20.00 by March 24
and Webelos Leader Outdoor Training is 7 AM, Sat., March 29 thru 9 AM, Sun. March 30 • Camp Arrowhead • $15.00 by March
24 • All participants need to bring one can of vegetables for Hobo Stew.
◊ Day Camp Training/Youth Protection Training is Thursday, May 22nd, 6:30-9 p.m. or Saturday, May 24, 8:30-11 a.m. at the
Scout Office (Youth Protection Training is offered online at ozarktrailsbsa.org. Go to Resources and take the training, print out
the trained card when finished. Your training will automatically be reported to the council. You will need your membership ID
number. Council: Ozark Trails Council #306, District: Pathfinder #06, Pack 1890)
Scouting for Food:
◊ Contest: each dens collected donations will be weighed. The total will be divide by the number of scouts participating from your
den. This gives the total average weight collected per scout. The den with the highest food weight-to-scout ratio wins the den
flag ribbon. The ribbon will be presented at the pack meeting.
◊ Total food weight and the name of every participant (scouts, leaders, parents, siblings) will be needed for our Good Turn for
America report. Please turn in the names on March 22 at the Nazarene Church.
◊ Drop-off time for donations is at noon on March 22 at Ozark Nazarene Church. Snacks will be provided.
◊ Kendall & ____________ will lead the Wolves - they will go to the neighborhood south of Waterford and surrounding area
◊ Robyn & _____________ will take the Tigers and Bears - they will go to Waterford
(If the Wolves, Tigers and Bears finish early - Hopedale Heights (across NN from Turnberry), Calley Springs, and Ozark Heights
can be canvassed. (Troop 201 did Turnberry and McGuffey. Troop 21 did Fremont Hills. Pack 75 south of Jackson.)
◊ Janet, Cindy and Becky will take the Webelos - they will cover the neighborhoods located northeast of Jackson and Third as
they can. If they finish, they will go to the newer neighborhoods North of the Library towards Riverside Inn.
Scout Night at Discovery Center:
◊ March 28, 2008: 5pm-8pm • Just for Boy and Girl Scouts! Activities meet a variety of requirements for different badges. Please
note that no single badge will be completed with the activities featured on Scout Night - we aim to help with the more difficult
activities and let you finish up the easier activities on your own. No pre-registration required. Fees are $7 for scouts and $4 for

Parent-N-Pal Camping: ***Note Changes ***
◊ Parent-N-Pal Camping is Fri.-Sat., April 11-12 at Camp Arrowhead in Marshfield.
◊ Check-in begins Friday at 5:00 p.m. Unit campsites are assigned upon arrival.
◊ Packs arriving on Saturday should check in by 8:30 a.m.
◊ Opening ceremony is at 9 AM. Activities will conclude on Saturday evening.
◊ Scouts may participate in overnight camping when supervised by his parent or guardian. No scout may sleep in a tent with
any adult other than a relative, please make other arrangements if needed.
◊ Eat before arriving. Root Beer Floats will be provided Friday night. Families are responsible for their own breakfast.
◊ Leaders and parents are solely responsible for noting any advancements or electives that are completed. Parent-N-Pal’s main
objective is to provide a fun and safe outdoor experience.
◊ Vehicles must be parked in the lot after they are unpacked. No vehicles are permitted to remain in the campsite.
◊ Early bird discounted cost is $10.00 per scout/parent team. Additional person is $5.00. No siblings are allowed.
◊ Fees and Roster are due to scout office no later than March 31.
Resident Camp:
◊ $20 deposit per scout attending is due to BSA by March 28. Fees due at the March 18th Pack Meeting. Balance is due to Scout
office on May 1, so balance should be paid at the April Pack Meeting, April 22 or the Conservation Project on April 26th at the
latest.
◊ Cub Res. Camp June 22-24 (session 5) • Pirates Theme • Fee is $85 youth, $55 adults • Units with 5 youth campers will be
allowed 1 leader free, units with 10 youth campers receive 2 leaders free • Class 1 health form required, Class 3 if over 40 •
Check-in is from 2-4 PM • Prepare a Skit or Song for Campfire • Prepare a flag to be posted in dining hall – due by May 1
◊ Web. Res. Camp July 6-10 (session 1) • Pirates Theme • Fee is $125 youth, $60 adults • Units with 5 youth campers will be
allowed 1 leader free, units with 10 youth campers receive 2 leaders free • Class 1&2 health form required, Class 3 if over 40 •
Check-in is 2-4 PM • Prepare a Skit or Song for Campfire • Prepare a flag to be posted in dining hall – due by May 1
◊ Camperships are limited. Requests for assistance are due March 22. They will be reviewed, and camperships will be awarded
as possible. All camperships requests must be turned in by pack to BSA by May 1.
◊ All adults not registered with the BSA must fill out a Camp Leader Survey Form.
Day Camp:
◊ The following adults will be walking den leaders - Current Tigers: ______________; Current Wolves: ______________;
Current Bears: ______________; Current Webelos: ______________.
◊ Early Bird Fee is $37 per scout, $12 per WDL. Staff is free and their lunch is provided.
◊ June 4, 5, 6 • 8-4:30 PM at Ozark Campus of OTC on Hwy. 14.
Good Turn Service Project:
◊ On Sat., April 26th, we will do a project for the Nazarene Church. Mike will ask the board what they would like done.
Graduation Campout:
◊ May 16-17 • Ozark Church of the Nazarene • Set-up 5 PM • 6 PM Potluck Dinner • Spy Camp Theme
Leaders' Retreat:
◊ July 25th-26th • Econo Lodge in Branson West. Check-in at 5:30 PM on Fri., concludes at 4 PM Sat.
